This Japanese 'God of War' Commercial is Something Else

As "God of War: Ragnorok" gets set to release on November 9th, both excitement and marketing stunts for the game are ramping up at extreme pace. Seeing as its predecessor was 2018's Game of the Year, it makes sense that people are highly anticipating the sequel. However, nobody seems more excited than the dancing dudes in this peculiar Japanese commercial.

With an aesthetic that couldn't be farther from that of the game, three dudes dance over a flower filled backdrop while singing about some of God of War's basic features. The centerman in the ad is apparently Hiromichi Sato, a popular figure in some Japanese fitness shows aimed towards children. Why he was the figure chosen to spearhead an ad for a violent and emotionally heavy M rated game is beyond us, but it makes for a spectacularly unique commercial, and one of a kind viewing experience.
