One year and two months ago, the world got news that a submersible full of rich men had ventured down to see the Titanic... and not come back up. It was one of the year's biggest stories, and for a month, everybody became an expert on the dangers of underwater travel. In the end it was revealed that the submersible had imploded thanks to poor design, and blind hubris from OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, killing him and the other four men on board. 

Now another billionaire, British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, has perished on the water, this time when his $30 million super yacht capsized in a nasty storm off the coast of Sicily. Like the OceanGate sub, there is an investigation. According to many experts, even in the worst weather, significant human error was needed to sink the boat.
