Top Friends You got to show the world who your best friends were and throw your new girlfriend in that highly sought after #1 spot. It was the ultimate dis to not have the honor of being featured on at least a few of these top spots.

Above the Head Myspace Pics Oh, the infamous Myspace pic. Lift your arm high, tilt your head back, and hope that your flip phone is getting you at your best angle. Thankfully Myspace got rid of everyones’ old photos when the new layout rolled around, preserving all of your hard earned dignity.

Online Now Guy This little guy was always there to tell your friends that you were online and ready to start a chat, whether you wanted to talk or not.

Profile Music Now this was the best and worst feature of the site. You could put your favorite song up to show the world how edgy and cool your taste in music was. Plus, the music would automatically start, so people had to listen to at least 5 seconds. It was always such a letdown when you’d go to check out a girl’s profile, and ‘Nickelback’ would start playing. Such a buzzkill.

Transition to Facebook Then one day, Myspace just wasn’t as popular. People’s online symbols were gone. Hell, nobody was responding to your Pic 4 Pic requests. What a sad day. At that point you knew that you had to make the change.
